Maximo™ Original Cooling Vest

I have autonomic dysfunction, so all of the things your body automatically does in the background is pretty messed up. Among the worst of my symptoms is inability to regulate body temperature. Summers are kind of crappy for me because I overheat very easily which can cause me to pass out or get heat stroke. I emailed the company to ask a couple questions. I got a fast response and from the person who founded the company. Turns out they knew what autonomic dysfunction is. They were amazingly kind and helpful.
I have tried other products like this some far more expensive and they never quite worked for me and were bulky. This vest if I remember correctly is rated for 45 minutes of practice the sun and heat. I have used it outside and I got quite a bit more than 45 minutes. I use this daily for my job as a dog trainer and I usually get 4-5 hours of cooling (most of my classes are inside but still very hot and humid). It uses ice packs so there is a little bulk there but much less than others I have tried. I was concerned about trying the vest because the temperature regulation or lack of works both ways for me. Not only do I overheat but I struggle to get warm when I am cold and despite having a fair amount of injuries I can’t ice a broken ankle or messed up knee because it causes the rest of me to be cold and it causes more pain. The ice packs go in a lining in the vest that has some insulation. For me this was a complete game changer. It is not to cold and doesn’t cause pain. There is just enough insulation that it does not feel like I duct taped ice packs to my body. This vest has been a complete game changer and has made it so I no longer have to hibernate in the summer. A huge improvement to my quality of life.

The gel packs are easy to use, to prepare in the freezer and insert into the vest. The instructions are clear. It's easy to use, works so well and I'm proud to wear it.

I use this test to alleviate orthostatic hypotension and heat intolerance. It has extended my career as a welding educator. Without it life would be far more limited. Best on the market!

Purchased a cooling vest for my husband who does local dirt track racing after seeing him struggling with Michigans summer heat and humidity. In the car it’s easy 10+ degrees hotter than the outside temperature with the heat coming off the motor and he is in a full 3 layer fire suit that allows no air flow…I needed a product that could hold up to the heat and be sleek enough to fit properly under a fire suit this cooling vest fit the description of what I was looking for so we decided to give it a try… it is AMAZING! The vest itself is great quality, you can really tell it is made with pride. I have no doubt that it will give us years of use. Before the vest he was mentally and physically exhausted after races do to the heat needing time to cool down and gather himself since receiving the vest his mental and physical state have been the same going into the car as when he comes out needing no time to recover! When one mistake on the track can mean the difference between a bad accident or bringing the car home in one piece I can’t tell you how good I feel knowing that this vest gives him the best chance to stay cool and make good choices on the track. Customer service has been amazing helping us get a proper fitting vest and just going above and beyond what I’d expect from ANY company! I’ll continue to be a repeat customer and can not say enough good things about this company and product!
